Wie ze een keer live gezien heeft weet het: Speakerpunch is een band die knalt! Met energie als hoofdingrediënt vuurt het vijftal een cocktail van groovende riffs, strakke drumslagen en brutale teksten als een vuistslag uit de pompende speakers. Speakerpunch speelt vuige rock 'n' roll met wortels in de punkrock, stonerrock en hardrock, en werd qua sound al eens vergeleken met The Misfits en Peter Pan Speedrock. Ongecompliceerde rockmuziek met ballen dus, voor stoere mannen en vrouwen. Als er beweging ontstaat in het publiek, van knikkende koppen tot complete duw- en trekchaos, achten de mannen hun taak volbracht. Crowdsurfen toegestaan!
Speakerpunch heeft al een aardige live-reputatie opgebouwd met shows in o.a. Paradiso (Amsterdam), Mezz (Breda), Baroeg (Rotterdam) en Bibelot (Dordrecht) en deelde het podium met o.a. Peter Pan Speedrock, John Coffey, Bazzookas, Tusky en Vanderbuyst. De band gooide hoge ogen bij verschillende band battles en werd geprezen om de presentatie: "ze spelen geen band, maar ze zijn een band".
Ook het komende seizoen gaat Speakerpunch er weer live flink tegenaan met een aardige lijst aan optredens. Speakerpunch zit in de lift, dus zorg dat je dat gaat zien!

Anyone who's seen them live knows it: Speakerpunch is a band that hits hard! With energy as their main ingredient, the five-piece fires off a cocktail of grooving riffs, tight drumbeats and fierce lyrics like a punch blasting from roaring speakers. Speakerpunch plays gritty rock 'n' roll rooted in punk rock, stoner rock and hard rock, and their sound has been compared to The Misfits and Peter Pan Speedrock. Straightforward, no-nonsense rock music with guts—made for tough men and women. When the crowd starts moving, from nodding heads to full-on push-and-shove chaos, the guys consider their mission accomplished. Crowdsurfing allowed!
Speakerpunch has already built up a solid live reputation with shows at venues such as Paradiso (Amsterdam), Mezz (Breda), Baroeg (Rotterdam) and Bibelot (Dordrecht), and has shared the stage with acts including Peter Pan Speedrock, John Coffey, Bazzookas, Tusky and Vanderbuyst. The band made a strong impression at several band battles and earned praise for their stage presence: "they don’t play at being a band—they are a band".
